Fun With Kids In the Kitchen - Decorating Waffles

Are your kids tired of the same old boring breakfast routine? Make breakfast time a little more fun when you put out waffle decorating ingredients. Kids will have fun in the kitchen when they decorate their own waffle, while having a good breakfast at the same time.

We have cold cereal most days of the week, but sometimes it's nice for the kids to have something different and extra tasty for a change. The day we had these, my kids were super excited to make their own breakfast. I liked them adding fresh fruit to their waffles to make it a bit healthier. They ended up loving their red, white, and blue breakfast.

This fun time in the kitchen is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Toast the waffles, grab your ingredients, and decorate!

A few weeks ago while shopping, my youngest daughter saw the new waffles that Eggo has. She said we couldn't leave the store without them. With these new waffles, kids can pick a super hero or a favorite Disney character to join them for breakfast!

We chose the Captain America cinnamon waffles for our breakfast treat. They are tasty on their own, but I had the idea to make breakfast a little more fun for a change. I got out some easy ingredients and let the kids have fun decorating their waffle.

My girls loved washing and cutting the fruit. They love meal prep time! I like to find different things that they can do in the kitchen so we can spend time together there. With careful supervision, kids are able to help with cooking quite a bit.

They loved decorating their waffles with blueberries, sliced strawberries, and of course a bit of whipped cream. Breakfast was a bit messy that day, but there were lots of laughs and happy tummies.

I even joined the fun and made a waffle for myself! It was nice to spend time in the kitchen with my children, laughing and having a good time. This was a memory making morning, as well as time to enjoy a tasty breakfast together.
