We all have household items sitting in our cupboards or kitchen cabinets that can be used to create art pieces, if we look at them in a different way. Read my book review of Paper Goods Projects to see how you can transform everyday objects into creative pieces.

Recently I received a copy of Paper Goods Projects by Jodi Levine with photography by Amy Gropp Forbes. Jodi Levine worked for 19 years with Martha Stewart so I immediately knew that she had the talent to share these projects. I was worried that the projects would be difficult to replicate or too advanced for a novice paper goods crafter, but once I looked through the book I knew that I was wrong. These projects are easy to replicate for a beginner crafter and even many are for children.
In Paper Goods Projects, Jodi Levine helps you to see everyday items in a new way so you can decorate with them, create art projects, or use them for parties. These projects are not outlandish, but they do turn out beautifully.
Paper Goods Projects is sectioned into 4 different categories of projects to make with household items-
- coffee filters and cupcake papers
- paper plates, bags, and doilies
- balloons
- recycling bin
Each section has fun projects for parents as well as children. My girls have looked through it and want to make some of these fun projects.
How cute and easy are these Animal Favor Bags made from paper bags?
And this Sea Creature Mobile? Fun to paint, put together, and hang in a kids room.
I love how they turned out! I have then sitting next to my desk so I can look at them often while writing blog posts, planning other crafts, or creating.
I would say that anyone would like Paper Goods Projects by Jodi Levine. There are projects for using so many different household items and they are fun to work on. You don't have to be a master crafter to recreate these projects. They are fun, easy, and nice to look at.
