How To Host A Witch's Night Out Party
My friend and I decided that it would be great to host a Halloween party for the ladies in our neighborhood. A get together full of laughter and fun was just what was needed. We had a great time planning what our theme would be, the spooky treats we would have, making decorations, and planning out the games we would play.
To make your party planning easier, I have compiled all of our ideas in one place so you can have a fabulous get together!
Pick A Theme
Start off by picking a theme or color scheme for your party. That makes the rest of your party easy to plan. You can plan a fall harvest theme, spooky Halloween, traditional Halloween, or even have everything be Witchy.
For our party, we decided on a fall harvest party with colors of nature for our decorations. For our paper goods, we went with a more traditional black-orange-white.
Invitations
To gain interest in your party, start with a cute invitation. Since we were inviting all the ladies in our neighborhood, we decided to make a printable invitation so we could hand them out.
Decorations for Witch's Night Out
You want to have the house look great for your party right? Plan some decorations that will be sure to please your guests.
- Porch Decorations
- Door Decor
- Counter/Table Decorations
With our theme of fall harvest, we decided to go the natural route with most of our decorations.
Your porch is the first things that your friends will see. Add some cute decorations to set the mood of the party. We bought pumpkins at the local farmers market, added some stalks of colorful dried corn, and made two brooms for our porch decorations.
For our counter area, we spread out a roll of brown craft paper, then placed our food and decorations on top of it. For our decorations -
- Small pumpkins of different colors
- DIY candles of differing heights
- Lined the glass front cupboards with craft paper
- DIY paper garlands for the cabinet fronts
Food and Drink for Your Halloween Party
We decided on a few finger foods that people could munch on while chatting and playing games.
MENU
- Fall Popcorn - Popcorn with almond bark and fall colored candies
- Spicy Chex Mix
- Veggie Tray
- Witch Fingers - Pretzels dipped in candy melts with slivered almonds
- Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Ball with crackers
- Fall Harvest Punch
- Ice Water
The cheese ball was the hit of the party! Everyone loved it. We were so busy hosting that we didn't get a chance to eat, so we made it again after the party and it was scrumptious!
PARTY SUPPLIES
We bought most of our paper party supplies at Hobby Lobby, Zurchers, and Oriental Trading. The brown bags for the popcorn we made from brown paper lunch bags and used decorative scissors to cut them to the size we wanted.
- Plates
- Napkins
- Cups
- Paper Straws
- Mini Paper Cups - we used these for the Chex Mix
- Serving platters - We picked ours up at Dollar Tree
Games for your Witch's Night Out Party
There are so many fun games you could play at your party! Do you want teams? Individual games? Minute To Win It? Who Done It? So many great options! Here's a list of some fun games for your party.
